Privacy Policy
ShopFront is a billing, invoicing and inventory management app built by z7tech for retailers, wholesalers and MSMEs. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it lives, and the choices you have. The short version: your business data belongs to you. We store it securely to keep it safe and available, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Information you enter into the app
ShopFront works with the data you create while running your business — invoices, items and stock levels, purchases, expenses, payments, and the names and contact details of your customers and suppliers.
This data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure operated for z7tech, so your records stay safe if you lose or change your phone and remain available when you sign in. It is processed only to provide the ShopFront service — we do not sell it, share it for marketing, or use it for advertising.
Your account
ShopFront links your business data to an account. Depending on how you sign up, we collect:
- Your email address and a password, if you register directly
- Your name, email address and basic profile information shared by Google, if you use Google sign-in
If sign-in with a phone number and one-time code is introduced, your mobile number will be collected for authentication and this policy will be updated to reflect that.
Information collected automatically
Like most Android apps, ShopFront relies on a small set of third-party services to run reliably. If the app crashes or encounters an error, diagnostic information may be collected through these services — such as your device model, operating system version, app version, IP address, and the time and general configuration of the app when the error occurred. This data helps us find and fix problems; it does not include the business records you keep in the app.

How we use information
Your account details and business data are used only to provide the ShopFront service — signing you in, storing your records securely, and keeping them available across sessions. The limited diagnostic information described above is used only to:
- Keep the app working and fix crashes and bugs
- Understand, in aggregate, which features are used so we can improve them
- Prioritise what to build next during the Beta
We do not sell personal information, we do not analyse your business records for purposes beyond running the service, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted connections between the app and our servers and restricted access to our systems. Protecting your device and account matters too — use a screen lock, keep your software up to date, and do not share your password. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and control
- You can view, edit and delete any business records inside the app at any time.
- You can request deletion of your account and all data associated with it by contacting us at the address below.
- You can manage device-level permissions for the app in your Android settings.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and business data for as long as your account is active, so your records are there when you return. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your account and the data associated with it from our systems within a reasonable time, except where we are legally required to retain certain records.
Children's privacy
ShopFront is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will delete it.

The app or this website may contain links to external sites that we do not operate. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any site you visit; we are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.
Changes to this policy
As ShopFront grows — for example, when multi-user collaboration or new sign-in methods ship — we will update this policy and post the new version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this site.
